21 Easy Summer Lunches for Kids at Home

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year, but keeping my kids fed feels like a full-time job.

Between tennis, baseball, swimming, bike rides, and running around with friends, my kids are always on the go.

Some days they come flying through the door for five minutes before heading back outside.

That means I need lunches that are quick to make, easy to eat, and filling enough to keep them going until dinner.

I don’t want to spend an hour in the kitchen when the weather is beautiful, and honestly, my kids don’t want to sit still for a complicated meal anyway.

These easy summer lunches are family favorites in our house.

They’re simple, kid-friendly, and perfect for busy summer days.

Summer Lunch Ideas for Kids Home from School

Let’s look at these easy and yummy lunch ideas for kids when they are home from school. Summer is always busy, but moms can easily make these ahead of time or at the time before your kids run of the house out again!

1. Turkey & Cheese Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 4 slices turkey
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese

How to Make It

Spread cream cheese over the tortillas. Layer turkey and cheese on top.

Roll tightly and slice into pinwheels. Serve with fruit or veggie sticks.

2. Mini Pizza Bagels

  • 4 mini bagels
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
